Colorado Springs Playful Snowy Session
When I asked Ren and Cole if they wanted to hang out with me at Blodgett Peak and play in the snow, I NEVER imagined the magic that we would create!
Planning
When I am in my slower season, I often host model call sessions. This is where I get to have some fun, be creative, and practice some new techniques that I want to get better at. As a photographer, I am constantly learning and growing. Living in Colorado, I knew that I wanted to be able to fullllyyy embrace whatever weather Mother Nature wanted to throw our way. So once I met Ren and Cole and saw how down they were to get a little cold, snuggle up in the snow, and just have FUN - I knew they were the perfect couple to do this session with.
Day Of
We didn’t get quite as much snow this day as we were expecting, but man, we made the most of it. From running around in circles, to snow ball fights, and quite literally rolling down hills! All of us left this session soaked and laughing. This was truly a day where I felt so fulfilled to be around such salt of the earth humans.
Good to Know
If you decide to have a session at Blodgett, just know that it is a very popular hiking area when the weather is nice! The parking lot is small, so parking may be difficult.
As always, it is so important to be aware of your surroundings with wildlife, stay on designated trails or pull-off areas, and be courteous to other people in the open space!
