Snowy Colorado Springs Couple Session
On a snowy day in Colorado Springs, my husband and I decided to venture out to one of our favorite spots in Colorado Springs and take some updated photos together. Blodgett Peak is such a stunning location to show off the beauty of the mountains.
Outfits
Since we decided to do this a little last minute, I hadn’t prepped any outfits for us ahead of time! I decided to go with a super casual vibe that allowed us to move, stay warm, and would be appropriate for heading to Top Golf afterwards. The biggest thing I wanted to make sure, was that we wore complimenting colors. So we opted for blacks, browns, and pops of denim.
Session
Since it was so cold, we didn’t feel like hiking up to my usual spot at Blodgett. We stayed right off the side of the road where you could still see the beautiful mountains, but we were close to the car to warm up quickly! We only took photos for about 15 minutes, but they quickly became some of my favorites that we have together.
Instead of trying to get specific poses, I wanted to just have fun with my husband! We laughed, we threw snow at each other, we snuggled. Overall, we went for an authentic feel and I think we nailed it! My sister, Neergaard Collective, took the photos for us and I edited them.
Good to Know
Blodgett Peak is a popular hiking spot when the weather is nice! There is one small parking lot. Ensure that if you are heading out here during a nicer day, you are prepared to potentially park further down the road and walk.
It is also important to be aware of your surroundings with wildlife, stay on designated trails, and be courteous to other people in the open space!
