Colorado Springs Winter Wedding
Gahhh! Caitlin and Jason’s vow renewal wedding day at Blast Forest by Wedgewood Weddings was an absolute DREAM to capture. The love they have for one another and the people around them was SO apparent in everything they did.
Getting Ready and Details
My second shooter and I started the day capturing some beautiful details and getting ready moments. Everything felt so calm and peaceful on the day of. All of the details for this cozy winter day were intentional and well thought out.
First Look
The Rios’ opted for a first look on their big day. It was the sweetest, intimate moment between the two of them. They had been married for 5 years and this was finally the moment that it hit both of them; they were really about to have their dream wedding. Amongst their arch and the snowy Black Forest trees, they spent a few moments intentionally being together. After the first look, we had a ton of fun taking bridal party photos!
Ceremony
Caitlin had originally hoped for an outdoor ceremony in Black Forest, but with typical Colorado weather, it was a little iffy! With immense amounts of grace, the couple happily decided to move the ceremony indoors so all of their guests would be comfy. The Wedgewood team quickly got everything together and set up their beautiful indoor space. I swear I have never seen so many happy tears at a wedding ceremony. It was absolutely stunning to be apart of.
Reception
After taking their family portraits, it was time for the reception! We had a blast between cake cutting, dinner, dancing, and late night s’mores to snack on. Their guests could not have been happier to be there to celebrate the love of the Rios’. Caitlin did a little outfit change into the cutest blue and white sweat suit to ensure she could dance the night away! At the end of the evening, the venue surprised the couple with a sparkler send off that was nothing short of magical!
Words cannot express how grateful I am that Caitlin and Jason chose me to be their photographer for their big day. This wedding will always hold such a special place in my heart!
